Day 1 |
| The tour starts
in Yangon after arriving with a morning flight. We will check in a
hotel and get things settled and organized. After having lunch we
will go birding in the parks, downtown Yangon where common birds like
Common Myna, Little Cormorants, Black Drongo, Tailorbird, Green Bee-eater,
Bulbuls, will be introduced. We will also drive along the Hlaing River
to get a look at the Brown - headed Gull. Those who have not been
to Myanmar before will visit the famous Shwedagon Pagoda later in
the evening. |

| Day 2 |
| Early in the morning
we will drive to Hlawgar Wild life Park which is on the outskirts
of Yangon to look out for the Pale-capped Pigeon, Racket-tailed Treepie,
Striped-throated Bulbul with white eye, which is only found in South
Myanmar, Sun birds, Orioles, Flowerpeckers, Bee eaters, some Babblers
and others. After lunch we will be driving to Moeyungyi Sanctuary
(a vast area of wet land) situated approximately 110 KM north of Yangon.
We will spend the late afternoon birding along the shores of the wet
land, looking out for birds like Bluethroat, Thick - billed Warbler,
Wagtails, Pipits, Golden plovers, Harriers and Kites. The overnight
and dinner will be at the resort in the sanctuary. |

3 |
| With an early
boat ride in the sanctuary we will be looking for Greater -
spotted Eagle, Pied Harrier, Woolly - necked Stork, Asian Openbill,
Sarus Crane, Spot - billed Pelican, Painted Stork among thousands
of waders and shorebirds. This sanctuary is approximately 40
square miles in area and inhabits about 80 species of birds.
After lunch we will drive to Pyay which will take about 6 hrs,
and overnight in a hotel |

| Day 4 |
|
| Starting from early morning
we will be birding the whole day in the dry deciduious forest
near Pyay where we will find 3 out of 4 endemics, of Myanmar
which are Hooded Treepie, White - throated Babbler and Burmese
Bushlark together with Burmese Shrike, Parakeets, Starlings,
Wood shrikes, Cuckoo - shrikes, Pigeons, Raptors, Prinias, Orioles,
Babblers, etc. Dinner will be at Pyay where we will spend another
overnight. |

| The next morning
we will drive back to Yangon, have lunch, go shopping downtown Yangon
and catch the evening flight to Bangkok |
